My grandfather Rex Brock had some garnet jewellery in his family.  I’m not sure about the story of how and when the family acquired them but when I was in my early 20’s my Auntie Kay who had been left the collection of garnets gave 1 piece to each of the granddaughters.  I was given this regal brooch.
